The Silicone Mold Making Process Is as Follows
Obtain or make the master pattern
Create or use an existing master model as the positive part. Avoid complex shapes or deep undercuts for easier mold removal and better surface accuracy.
Lay the pattern in the container
Prepare a container, apply mold release, and place or suspend the pattern. For two-part molds, half-embed it in clay before pouring.
Mix and pour the silicone
Mix silicone components evenly and pour slowly to reduce bubbles. Ensure silicone covers the master completely, then allow proper curing.
Remove the cured mold
After curing, take the mold out gently. For two-part molds, flip, apply release again, pour the second layer, and cure fully.
Remove the master pattern
Separate the mold halves and remove the master carefully to keep the shape intact and maintain precise details.
Cast the parts
Apply mold release, pour or inject casting material, and remove bubbles if needed. Let cure, then demold and finish the part.
